SPAY/NEUTER: The ASPCA offers free and low-cost spay/neuter surgery via three fully-equipped mobile veterinary clinics that will travel directly to your neighborhood seven days a week. The program is designed for low-income pet owners who are residents of New York City's five boroughs. Low income pet owners in New York City's five boroughs with proof of public assistance such as Welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, Disability, Food Stamps, or Public Housing qualify to have their pets spayed/neutered at no cost. Unemployment does not qualify. If you do not have proof of public assistance, a $75 donation per animal is requested. We can serve up to 25 animals per day on a first-come, first-served basis, and you must arrive early to wait in line for intake. We suggest you arrive at the location before 7:00 A.M. We will provide rabies and distemper vaccinations for all cats and dogs coming to the clinic for spay/neuter.
